Join Us at a Rally!
We run regular rallies throughout the month so you can fit your riding around your busy schedule:
Mid-Week Rallies: Every Wednesday during school terms
Weekend Rallies: The 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month (except January)
Typical Rally Hours: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
We’ll email you the full rally schedule each term (along with any pop-up clinics or special events), and we always post reminders on our Facebook group so you never miss a date!

💲 Lesson & Guest Fees
Regular Rally Lesson: $35 per lesson
Guest Riders: $50 total ($35 lesson fee + $15 guest fee)
Note for Guests: Guest riders must be financial HRCAV members and complete the HDARC Disclaimer Form before mounting.

Payment must be made prior to the rally via direct deposit:

Payment Reference: Please use your Surname, First Initial, and Rally Date

To ensure we can offer spots to riders on our waiting lists—or give our instructors adequate notice—please let us know as soon as possible if you can’t make it to a rally.
⏰ Cancellation Deadlines & Refunds
You will receive a full refund if you cancel prior to these deadlines:
Wednesday Rallies: Cancel by 8:00 pm Sunday prior
Saturday Rallies: Cancel by 8:00 pm Wednesday prior
📌 Late Cancellations & Unpaid Fees
Late Cancellations: Cancellations made after the deadlines above are non-refundable.
Outstanding Fees: If you cancel late and haven’t paid yet, you must settle your fee before booking your next session. If you’re unsure whether you have outstanding fees, please email our Treasurer
☕ Couldn't Ride? You’re Still Welcome!
If weather or unexpected circumstances keep you out of the saddle at the last minute, you’re still encouraged to come down! Many members love coming along to watch lessons, pick up extra tips, share a cuppa, and catch up with fellow riders.
Grounds Access & Private Riding Policy
Grounds Access & Private Riding Policy
HDARC members are welcome to use our grounds for private riding throughout the month, with a few key exceptions to keep everyone safe and organized.
🛑 When Grounds Are Closed to Private Riding:
HDARC Rallies & Events: Members must refrain from using the arenas for private riding or arranging private lessons during scheduled rally times.
Pony Club Rallies: The grounds are unavailable on the 1st Sunday of every month while Hurstbridge Pony Club holds their main rally day.
💡 Pro Tip: Always double-check with the Rally Coordinator before planning a private ride near rally days. Extra lessons may run late, or summer rallies may start earlier than usual.
👥 Who Can Ride on the Grounds?
Grounds access is an exclusive benefit for HDARC members only.
Guest Member Policy:
Occasionally, if lesson spots remain unfilled after HDARC members have booked, the Rally Coordinator may invite financial HRCAV members from neighbouring clubs to participate in a rally. This helps cover instructor costs. In these instances:
A $15 grounds fee applies (in addition to the lesson fee).
Guests must complete an HDARC Disclaimer Form prior to mounting.
